Benefits of Re-establishing the Wolf Species in Colorado

The ecosystem are vital to us and through the activities we have brought many wild animals to become extinct killing our beauty one by one. Every animal depends on the environment to provide the food to it but when the human activities has destroyed it, it means that no animal will survive. The animals’ habitation plays a greater role in ensuring that they give birth and multiply ensuring the continuity of the animal reserves.

The gray wolf is part of America’s natural heritage that roomed Colorado but due to hunting and killing them they became extinct. The hunting and the killing of the gray wolf was as a result of not understanding the creature and viewing it as evil because it would attack and kill the animals. However there has been the establishment of the wolf project that aims at helping people to understand the behavior, the ecology and the options in the attempt of re-establishing the gray wolf in Colorado.

For the people of Colorado to welcome the gray wolf in the area, they are aimed at disseminating any scientific information that may have been written about the wolves as well as the myths that talk things against the gray wolf. The people of Colorado have to learn new ways of co-existing with the gray wolf in the mitigating the effects on the people hunting and the ranchers. The company also seeks to cultivate the enthusiasm among the people of Colorado on the return of the wolves.

Wolves are not harmful animal to man because there is no case of them attacking a human and they avoid humans a lot, but they assist in the ecological balance of the natural environment. Without the wolves, the natural balance in the ecosystem cannot be attained because there are animal species which will increase to an uncontrolled number because there are no predators and with the gray wolves back to Colorado than the balance in the ecosystem. At the ground like the rocky mountains of Colorado where the wolves exist if they are not there and the other species multiply it will mean that the grass and other vegetation will not grow.

By the government accepting to give compensation on the assets destroyed it is a better way of getting the people of Colorado to accept the species and not to kill them. By accepting that wolves are not a human threat and taking an important step in the re-establishing them in the ecosystem will be a huge conservation achievement because it is protecting the animal species that are nearing extinction. There is no apparent reason as to why human and the gray wolves cannot co-exist and therefore making it an important time for the people to stop killing them.
